about us
We a disabled and a queer-led, disabled and autistic-led live music grassroots non-profit CIC based in the North East (UK), founded in 2021.
Advocating on making local spaces and pushing music venues in the North East be become more accessible and inclusive.
We’re here to help build a live music scene that’s accessible, inclusive, and genuinely welcoming—especially for those who’ve often been left out: queer communities, disabled folks, and other marginalised gig-goers.
Whether it’s a gig, an open mic, or a chill creative hangout, we want everyone to feel like they belong.
We believe in fair pay, safer spaces, and making events as accessible as possible.
Our goal is not just about putting on shows— our focus is creating a community where queer people aren’t just included, but centered.
We have been growing this community, and actively contribute to our community and vision for four years and hope to continue with our community support.

THEY/THEM
I Beck, previously worked as a creative education learning facilitator assistant, with a background and a Master's in Fine Art.
Tyne and Queer was founded by myself and my partner.
I now solely operate T+Q by myself, so I’m not only the events manager—I also run all the behind-the-scenes (boring) stuff too. And I genuinely love a good spreadsheet.
